Jan Foletta is an illustrator and product designer in the gift, home décor, fashion, and social expression industries. Based in Kansas City, she has over thirty years of experience creating and developing a variety of products from both original and licensed art. Her wide-ranging portfolio includes greeting cards, stationery, gifts and gift books, seasonal décor, dinnerware, jewelry, and fashion.  

Jan began her career in California, studying fashion design at Diablo Valley College before receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration from the San Francisco Academy of Art. She was recruited by Hallmark Cards in 1986 and spent fifteen years as a greeting card illustrator. After training in digital design while at Hallmark, she joined Demdaco as a designer in 2003. Over the course of eleven years at the company, she became the lead designer for multiple high profile lines such as Willow Tree, Marjolein Bastin's Nature's Journey, and The Kelly Ray Roberts Collection.

Currently, Jan is working at The Gerson Companies as a Senior Designer where she designs both home and garden décor. In her home studio, Jan continues to pursue her passion to bring beauty, whimsy, and style into her own art.
